Initially established in the mid 80's as MEDICITY hospital, Mediclinic bought the hospital in the late 80's and went on to establish Mediclinic Vergelegen as a centre of excellence in the Helderberg basin and the Western Cape. It offers a complete range of specialist services in support of an established neurosurgical unit. The intensive care unit is run very efficiently by a group of intensivists with excellent clinical outcomes. This multi - disciplinary approach have consistently shown to improve our clinical outcomes in all categories. In addition clinical support in the form of physiotherapist, occupational therapists and speech therapists with years of experience also adds to improved patient outcomes.
